Weekend Poetry Competition

You may have sung Auld Lang Syne on New Year’s Eve but do you know who wrote it? Scottish poet Robert Burns was responsible for these classic lyrics and many more. To celebrate his birthday on 25 January, we’re inviting you to show your poetry skills!

As part of our latest weekend promotion, we’re running a poetry competition and giving away an e-book reader worth £130 for the winning entry. The poems can take any format, but they have to be about Ebuyer. Have a look at the details of the competition here.

And expects its Burns competition inbox to fill

   For the few of you that care, my winning entry is below:

   When I need a component but my budget is low,
   Ebuyer is the number 1 place to go.
   From laptops to desktops to HD TV’s,
   There’s something for everyone that’s guarantied to please.

   I load up the site and click A-Z,
   Because I over clocked my CPU and now its dead.
   From hard to find p4′s to the latest i7,
   In a few clicks time I’m in processor heaven.

   The socket, the speed and the l1 cache,
   With such detailed descriptions I’ll be done in a flash.
   Such a large selection – which one should I choose,
   But it’s made a lot easier by the customer reviews.

   I take my time – there’s no need to worry,
   With an 11 pm deadline I’m never in a hurry.
   I’ve found the one I want – I go ahead and click by,
   But not before the essential extras have caught my eye.

   I look at my basket and I smile with delight,
   My bank accounts going to stay healthy tonight.
   Next day delivery is the choice I favour,
   But if you want it cheap there’s super saver.

   In a few minutes time my order is done,
   And with delivery tracking I know when it’s going to come.
   I share my purchase with a friend – it’s pretty easy,
   Post to facebook or im him the qfc.

   Bright and early next morning my doorbell rings,
   It’s the cittylink guy delivering my things.
   It takes some time to open the box,
   But that’s only because Ebuyers packaging rocks.

   My new CPU works just as expected,
   I’ve never received anything that’s been defective.
   I open a browser and write a review,
   Excellent product with fast shipping, thank you.

   But even if they had committed the sin
   Of sending me a CPU with a bent pin,
   I’ll send it back with an rma,
   And have a replacement in just over a day.

   Mod your laptop with an ssd
   Or upgrade the gpu in your gaming pc.
   Cables galore from usb to fire wire,
   All this and more thanks to Ebuyer.
