Steve Jobs created the Apple Lisa which was brought out in 1983 and was one of the first personal computers to use a graphical user interface, bringing the idea of clicking on icons to open windows to life. In 2010 we were introduced to the iPad which incorporated a slick design with advanced technology. With taking such a leap forward in innovation, the brand and its products have become one of most talked about in history. Apple is holding a private celebration on the 18th October to remember the life of Steve Jobs. Apple’s CEO Tim Cook has arranged the event and it is set to take place at an outdoor theatre on Apple’s campus in Cupertino, Ca.

There have been so many social messages, remembrance posts and physical tributes to Steve Jobs, it is clear to see he made an impressionable impact on a lot of people’s lives. Apple Store on New York City’s; Fifth Avenue
After the news broke, flocks of people headed towards the Apple Store on Fifth Avenue. Flowers, candles, notes and real apples were left outside the Apple store in New York City as a mark of respect for Steve Jobs.

Gizmodo
Matt Buchanan, editor of Gizmodo decided to share his personal reaction when he heard the news. He then went on to explain where he was and what he was doing by starting a twitter stream with the hash-tag “#wherewereyou”.
Followers and fans then started to tweet their response, marking the news and offering their condolences.

Remembering through creativity
Mint Digital created an eye catching image of Steve jobs, using the parts of a MacBook Pro to build up one of his iconic images. This is a work of art and a wonderfully creative way of remembering him.

A student’s design
An Apple logo with a twist has captured the attention of people from all over the world. Hong Kong based design student, Jonathan Mak, aged 19 took the silhouette of the Apple logo and carefully placed the outline of Steve Jobs’ face on one side of the Apple. He has received over 1,300 comments on his blog and a coverage across the web. We really like it; what do you think?

His legacy
Steve jobs left behind a brand and a company that has been brought to life by true determination and real love of the products it invents. His impact “will be felt for many generations to come” (quote from Bill Gates) as our culture becomes more technology driven.
