Bloggers of the Month October 2011

Continuing our monthly salute of appreciation we’re pleased to bring you our favourite technology bloggers this month. October 2011 bloggers of the month are as follows:

Witch Tech
www.witchtech.co.uk
First up is Witch Tech, which is an original and well constructed blog run by Journalist Jenny who describes the it as ‘knitting a web of knowledge for tech-savvy ladies’. We think it does exactly that, and this month we’ve enjoyed her posts about the new HTC Sensation XL (due towards the end of November) and Spotify’s preview of the mobile app for Blackberrys. We also really like the Witch Tech TV section where Jenny does a handy roundup of key technology news and launches. This month’s included her opinion on the Spotify-Facebook integration, the iPhone 4S and more.

Tech Digest
www.techdigest.tv
With a tongue-in-cheek tone that lends itself to the easy digest of interesting and useful articles this is a refreshing blog. Posts like ‘Students realise internet is real‘ made us chuckle, but also underlines an important issue that needs to be highlighted. The internet is open and once content is on there it is going to get shared! Also worth a read is ‘Are fatscreeens the new flatscreen TVS?’ which explores how flatscreen TVS are becoming so thin in places they are in danger of disappearing and concludes that ‘we’re thinking there’s a gap in the market over here for some fat’n cheap TVs too.’ What do you think?

Guardian Force
www.guardianforce.co.uk
A force for good technology content this blog is run by ‘the various members of the Guardian Force Guild, it contains our take on news from the gaming, media and general geek world’. It is witty, well written and entertaining and even provides arguments for why you should read another blog? ‘Well I’m not sure! We try to give you an unbiased, friendly and informative look into both our own lives and the entertainment world.’ Sounds like a good enough reason to us, plus with posts like ‘iPhone App Review‘ and the well argued ‘when geeks aren’t good enough’ (which discusses why playing games like Magic is not something that should put you off someone on a date!) it is an enjoyable read. There are some great posts about the game Magic on Guardian Force too.

Zath
www.zath.co.uk
We have been big Zath fans for a while now, so we are pleased to highlight their excellence this month. Keen tech lovers and knowledgeable to boot the Zath writers are dedicated team who bring us regular news, reviews and opinions on the latest gadgets games and tech. Great posts this month include ‘Huawei E586 MiFi For Three Review‘ which covers off the functionality and features of product complete with witty asides. They also make sure that the smaller details of technology are covered off, with posts like ‘Apple Quietly Launches Micro USB Adapter For iPhone To Comply With EU Regulations’.

Tech Nutty
technutty.co.uk/blog
Tech Nutty are one of those blogs that gets straight to the point. The post that drew our attention in October was the one on the PS Vita, which presents information from CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment about the launch and the new product. Batman: Arkham City to launch on PC is also a handy post, complete with a quote from Rocksteady and a reminder of the PC version launch date (8th November). We’re holding out for the sizzling PC quality too, Joel!
